If you had to choose one or the other would you rather be armed with a venomous bite or the ability to emit a foul noxious odor like a skunk when threatened?
A venonmous bite is more of a sure thing. It'll can actually maim or kill your opponent. A skunk just uses smoke and mirrors and can still get himself tore up despite his best noxious efforts.
While I respect my esteemed colleague's opinion, I must strongly disagree. The problem with the venomous bite is that you have to be close enough to bite your enemy. The skunk odor can be used at a distance to distract your enemy while you prepare for a full on attack by other means or to flee in situations you know you cannot win.
I think I'm goiong with the venomous bite. It would destroy my opponents as opposed to temporarily scaring them away with a noxious odor. And I have to say Josh, that I would be more afraid of deploying my smell if I was wrestling than my venom. That would be embarrasing.
I, too, would have to choose the "skunk funk" as you put it - because as the Incredible Rag put it - you'd have to be close enough to bite someone, but with a foul odor, you just "spray & escape!"

I see no contest here.

Venom all day.

I would be afraid of accidentally deploying my venom when I was eating, wrestling or whatever. I think the skunk funk would be easier to control.

The venomous bite causes actual harm. The foul odor might distract for a second, but would be no real weapon.
skunk smell is better...but i guess i just don't want to kill anything unnecessarily...meaning, if i can scare it away, i'd rather do that.
