LET'S PLAY ILLUSTRATION- The game where I give you a scenario and you tell me what spiritual analogies can be drawn from it.

Sometimes the picture painted of Christianity is a beautiful one filled with blue skies and no cares, much like this fuel tank looks to have been nicely painted. Then along comes the mess of life and we have to decide if we will look past what our eyes can see and what the world brings to life and draw our hope and strength from the Holy Spirit that we have been filled with. This tank now looks a mess, but it hasn't been given the purpose of looking nice, but of being filled with fuel to be used and once it is depleted it will again be filled, just as we aren't purposed to have a mask of perfection, but are supposed to be filled with the spirit so that God can work and then continue to fill us with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness....and all the rest. He decides how the filling is used not us, just as the tank has no choice on where it's fuel will be dispersed.
