Bowden was an animal suffering great injury until the lady spiked his hair up and showed it to him. That smile in the last picture is the remanent of a beam that shone to the heavens.
Just for the record, the comment above which was erroneously attributed to me by the computer, was actually authored by my lovely wife. I agree with it entirely though.
