QUESTION OF THE DAY...RAT BOUNTY

In the coming days I intend to post a letter I am writing to my representatives in the House and Senate advocating some sort of Rat Bounty. I don't like rats, and I feel that if people made some cold hard cash every time they killed one there would be a lot less of them around. I think if president Bush made this one of his priorities the public would admire him for it. I certainly would.

Would you support a rat bounty?

About fifteen minutes ago, I came inside after meeting one of my next door neighbors for the second time. We've lived here nearly a year, but their house is set back from the road quite a bit. Anyway, the entire time we chatted, an albino rat huddled in her hands and perched on her shoulder. Her shirt was marked with holes and rips (perhaps from its claws?).

Though I've heard (and believe) that rats make wonderful pets, I wonder if it would be neighborly of me to give her a copy of your letter after you write it.

If it were just for Norway rats, I'd be all for it. But who would pay the bounty?

The department of agriculture.

Maybe a smaller amount would be paid for the roof rat (a.k.a. the jerusalem rat or black rat)

Definately the biggest offender is the Norway Rat

I WOULD admire Bush for that. And would definitely support it.
Not that I think it'd make a dent. Rats are survivors. SURVIVORS.

I don't know, was the song "Ben" about a mouse or a rat?
