I would say yes, in that he's a readily recognizable personality that if you were eating in the same restaraunt as him you would point him out to your companion(s) and would even nod to him in understanding.
Whether or not he flies first class or is fiscally prepared for retirement is beside the point...
He is a celebrity.
I would never recognize him, though. I agree with your definition, Job, just not that he meets it.

i'm with steve. if i ran into this guy and thought that he looked familiar, i would quickly assume that i had waited on him at chili's and continue quickly along.
